Tishman Speyer Confirms 530,000-Square-Foot Lease at The Spiral in Hudson Yards

Developer Tishman Speyer and Debevoise & Plimpton LLP have finalized negotiations for a massive 530,000-square-foot office at 66 Hudson Boulevard, aka The Spiral. The global law firm expects to relocate its headquarters from 919 Third Avenue in the second half of 2022. With this latest transaction, Tishman Speyer has now successfully pre-leased 54 percent of the building.

Work is wrapping up on The Edge observation deck at 30 Hudson Yards in preparation for a March 11, 2020 opening date. Cantilevering 80 feet out above Tenth Avenue at an elevation of 1,131 feet, The Edge is the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere. The platform protrudes from the sloped eastern elevation of the Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed commercial office building, which at 1,296 feet tall comes in at number four in our countdown of the tallest buildings being constructed in New York City. Construction is moving along at 66 Hudson Boulevard, aka The Spiral, the eighth-tallest skyscraper under construction in New York City in YIMBY’s annual countdown. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, the massive commercial office tower is rapidly ascending toward its 1,031-foot-tall parapet over the Midtown neighborhood of Hudson Yards. Tishman Speyer is the developer, Turner Construction Company is the construction manager, and Banker Steel is in charge of fabricating the 66-story, $3.7 billion supertall.
