New Tenant Amenities at The Empire State Building to Debut in 2023

The Empire State Building has joined the race to attract new commercial tenants who demand an amenitized building for the next generation of workers. In an announcement from Empire State Realty Trust, current owners of the iconic property, the building’s amenity offering will be expanded to include a town hall meeting space for up to 400 people, a basketball court, a lounge, food and bar service, and an additional lounge with two golf simulators.

A new affordable housing development has broken ground at 201-207 7th Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan. The nine-story, affordable cooperative building will replace four aging properties at the corner of 22nd street, which are only partially occupied by five residents.

310 East 86th Street’s Geometric Façade Takes Shape on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction has topped out on 310 East 86th Street, a 21-story residential tower in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by ODA Architecture and developed by IGI-USA, the 145,000-square-foot building will yield 69 condominiums and an undisclosed amount of commercial space. Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Second and Third Avenues, directly across from the 86th Street station, servicing the Q train.

Permits Filed for 1420 Stebbins Avenue in Crotona Park East, The Bronx

Located between East 170th Street and Boston Road, the lot is near the Freeman Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Moses Freund of The Vaja Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Permits Filed for 965 Bedford Avenue in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn

Located between Dekalb and Willoughby Avenues, the lot is three blocks from the Classon Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. Jacob Scherman of Homeland Property Group LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

RAMSA’s 200 East 83rd Street Approaches Completion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Exterior work is wrapping up on 200 East 83rd Street, a 35-story residential tower in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group, the 449-foot-tall structure will yield 205,877 square feet and 86 units with sales and marketing underway by Compass, as well as 3,033 square feet of ground-floor retail space and parking for 26 vehicles. SLCE Architects is the architect of record and Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for property, which is located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 83rd Street.

Park House Reaches Full Completion at 500 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is complete on Park House, an eight-story residential building at 500 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea. Designed by Annabelle Selldorf of Selldorf Architects and developed by Brantwood Capital, the 33,662-square-foot structure yields ten residential units and 1,959 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Compass is handling sales and marketing for the one- to four-bedroom homes and two duplex penthouses, with pricing ranging from $2.65 million to $12 million. Foundations Group served as the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 197 Tenth Avenue and stands at the corner of Tenth Avenue and West 22nd Street, a short walk from the High Line. Belden Tristate Building Materials supplied the hand laid bricks for the project.

150 East 78th Street Completes Construction on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is complete on 150 East 78th Street, a 16-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects and developed by Midwood Investment & Development and EJS Group, the 205-foot-tall structure yields 68,293 square feet with 25 condominiums and 3,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space with frontage along Lexington Avenue. Compass Development Marketing Group is handling marketing and sales for the three- to five-bedroom homes. Ismael Leyva Architects served as the executive architect and residential layout designer for the building, which is located at the corner of East 78th Street and Lexington Avenue, a short walk from the 6 train at the 79th Street station.

Joint Venture Secures $175M to Purchase and Renovate 45 East 53rd Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Newmark, a global real estate services company, has successfully arranged $175 million in capitalization to facilitate a major renovation of 45 East 53rd Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Located in the Plaza District, the building once operated as the New York headquarters for Santander Bank, but sold in April to ZG Capital and Rialto Capital Management.
