Seven months after the Galleria Mall in White Plains closed its doors, developers have revealed a seven-building residential complex to replace the shuttered building. The development team includes Pacific Retail Capital Partners (PRCP), The Cappelli Organization, SL Green Realty Corporation, and Aareal Bank.
Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 206 Ditmas Avenue in Kensington, Brooklyn. Located between East 2nd Street and East 3rd Street, the lot is one block east of the Ditmas Avenue subway station, serviced by the F train. Joseph Frank of 214 Ditmas LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Permits have been filed to vertically expand a four-story structure into a 16-story mixed-use building at 232 Broome Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Located on the corner of Essex Street and Broome Street, the corner lot is near the East Broadway subway station, serviced by the F train. Soft Stone Development Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Demolition work is complete at 335 Eighth Avenue, the site of an upcoming seven-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX and developed by MAG Partners and Penn South (aka Mutual Redevelopment Houses, Inc.), the 200,000-square-foot structure will yield 188 residential units with 30 percent dedicated to affordable housing for low- and middle-income residents under the Affordable NY Program, as well as a 23,000-square-foot Lidl grocery store on the ground floor. Titan Industrial SVC Corp served as the demolition contractor and Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 26th Street within the Penn South affordable housing cooperative, officially known as Mutual Redevelopment Houses. The project is being co-financed by MAG Partners and global holding company Safanad.
Work is nearing completion on 300 Huntington Street, a six-story commercial building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Dattner Architects and Bernheimer Architecture and developed and built by Monadnock Development, the 101,000-square-foot structure will yield 80,000 square feet of office space, 12,290 square feet of retail space, a 3,470-square-foot industrial workshop, 5,780 square feet of unspecified building service area, and a 15,490-square-foot rear yard dedicated to the anchor tenant. The property is bound by Huntington Street to the north, 9th Street to the south, the Gowanus Canal to the east, and Smith Street to the east.
