Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 26 Sherman Avenue in Fort George, Manhattan. Located between Sickles Street and Arden Street, the interior lot is near the Dyckman Street subway station, serviced by the A train. Shloime Gross under the 26 Sherman Residence LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Façade installation is steadily progressing at 540 Fulton Street, a 511-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jenel Management, the project will yield 327 residential units, as well as 71,844 square feet of commercial space and 22,054 square feet of retail on the lower podium floors. The residences will take up about 239,142 square feet of the total 330,00 square feet.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission is reviewing proposals to renovate and refurbish the façade of a historic bath house in Manhattan’s East Village. The property is located at 538-540 East 11th Street and today operates as Bath House Studios, a professional photography studio and events space.
Demolition work is progressing at 547–589 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn, the site of a proposed skyscraper. RedSky Capital, LLC is reported to be the developer of the triangular-shaped parcel, which is listed as “Fulton Mall” on its website. The plot was assembled and purchased for $104 million and is bound by DeKalb Avenue to the north, Flatbush Avenue Extension diagonally to the east, Fulton Street to the south, and Bond Street to the west. It’s unclear whether the tower is slated for residential or commercial use.
Greenpoint’s iconic ACME Smoked Fish Factory has now entered a mandatory public review process known as ULURP or the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure. This phase is a major step forward for the expansion which required zoning text amendments, an environmental assessment statement, and initial approvals from the Department of City Planning.
