New Design Revealed for Kushner Companies’ Two-Towered 1 Journal Square, in Jersey City

Following the successful resolution of recent litigation with Jersey City, a new design has been released for Kushner Companies’ planned two-towered high rise residential development at 1 Journal Square Plaza, in Jersey City‘s Journal Square. Also known as 1 Journal Square, construction is expected to break ground in 2021. The revised designs would add two major skyscrapers to the neighborhood’s growing skyline, both standing over 700 feet to their rooftops.

MGM Marin Boulevard Tops Out at 331 Marin Boulevard in Jersey City

Construction has topped out on the MGM Marin Boulevard, a 41-story residential tower at 331 Marin Boulevard in Jersey City. Alternately addressed as 184 Morgan Street, the project is designed by Marchetto Higgins Stieve and is being developed by The Albanese Group, and will yield 482 units, 121 parking spaces, a 125-seat theater, and 14,000 square feet of amenities. The site is located within the Powerhouse Arts District, directly to the south of 351 Marin Boulevard.

19-Story Affordable Housing Project Breaks Ground at 1159 River Avenue in the South Bronx

Construction has officially broken ground at 1159 River Avenue, a new 245-unit affordable housing project in the Concourse section of the South Bronx. Designed by Urban Quotient, the 19-story building will comprise 240,000 square feet. In addition to income-restricted and supportive housing, the structure will contain residential amenity spaces and a new ground-floor supermarket.

Harborside 1–3’s Recladding Makes Progress in Jersey City

Work is moving along on the exterior recladding of Harborside 1, Harborside 2, and Harborside 3, a contiguous set of eight- to 12-story buildings along the Jersey City waterfront. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Mack-Cali Realty Corporation and SJP Properties, the $75 million project will transform the exterior look of the full-block complex, which is bound by Harborside Place to the north, Hudson Street to the west, and Christopher Columbus Drive to the south.
