Over the summer, Adam America Real Estate and MSD Partners picked up a taxi garage at 22-12 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City for $43.5 million. Now the developers have filed applications for their planned residential building. Plans call for an 11-story, 175-unit condo building measuring 205,761 square feet in total. Residential space will take up 164,668 square feet of the project, which means the apartments will average 941 square feet apiece.

The ground floor will hold 4,668 square feet of retail, along with amenities including a pool. Other features include a gym and a children’s playroom on the second floor and there will be an outdoor terrace on the roof. Issac & Stern Architects is the architect of record, and permits were filed in October to demolish the existing single-story commercial structure. The Real Deal was the first to report on the permits.

This will be the third major development to reshape the former industrial block near Court Square. Jeffrey Gershon is putting the finishing touches on his cube-tastic 11-story rental building next door, and G&M Realty is developing a 1,116-unit residential complex on the former 5Pointz site.
