Permits Filed for 373 East 157th Street in Melrose, The Bronx

Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a three-story residential building at 373 East 157th Street in Melrose, The Bronx. Located between Melrose Avenue and Courtlandt Avenue, the lot is closest to the 3rd Avenue-149th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. BAC Developers Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 30-foot-tall development will yield 4,639 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 10 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 463 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 34-foot-long rear yard.

Baobab Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will not be needed as the permit calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
