Fordham’s new dorm and law school continues to rise, with the upper portion now extending from the base. The facade continues to make great progress, and completely brightens 62nd Street, which was formerly a dead zone between the plazas of Fordham and Lincoln Center. The glass reflects remarkably in the sunlight, making for fantastic evening photos.
It’s wonderful to see Fordham incorporating great architecture into its expansion, as the two other buildings on its Lincoln Center campus leave much to be desired. McMahon is merely banal while Lowenstein, the academic building, is actually horrifying. Brutalism is the worst.
