The Azimuth Development Group is planning an expansive mixed-use project at 1755 Watson Avenue, between Rosedale Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue, in the Soundview section of the Bronx. The 250,000-square-foot building will house 250 mixed-income residential units, plus 20,000 square feet of retail space. With the residential units spread across 230,000 square feet, that means units averaging about 920 square feet. Aufgang Architects is the designer.
The Bronx Pentecostal Deliverance Center currently partly occupies the site. It is actually a partner in the new development and would receive a new facility. Azimuth president Guido Subotovksy told YIMBY that he is in talks with elected officials and the City Planning Commission, as rezoning would be required. He expects construction to commence in 2017 and be completed in 2019.

For Watson and Westchester …How about planning attractive malls with attractive stores that would also create jobs for the community
ex: Bed Bath & Beyond, Trader Jo’s, Duane Reade, Dept stores, Lowes, CVS, Shoprite. We are swamped with ugly store fronts, tire shops, barbershops, disruptive lounges, supermarkets with expired products, overall stores that do nothing positive for our community.
Housing (are they really housing or shelters). How about attractive is Senior Housing?.
