    First Look: Bjarke Ingels-Designed 146 East 126th Street, Harlem

    With construction now wrapping up on 625 West 57th Street, BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group has already begun transforming the Manhattan cityscape. The firm is also designing the new 200 Greenwich Street, set to rise next to One World Trade Center, and YIMBY can now reveal the first renderings for their Harlem project, which Blumenfeld is developing, at 146 East 126th Street.

    JDS Plans Condo Conversion and Expansion at 71 North 7th Street, Williamsburg

    JDS Development Group and Largo Investments picked up a Williamsburg warehouse at 71 North 7th Street for $10,500,000 in March. Yesterday, plans were filed to expand the single-story building to three stories and convert it to condos.

    In March, Bushwick-based developer Level One Holdings filed applications for a seven-story apartment building at 740 Dekalb Avenue between Marcy and Tompkins Avenues, in the heart of Bed-Stuy. The development got its new building permits last month, and YIMBY has the first look at what will rise on the empty lot.

    111 Murray Street

    111 Murray Street Breaks Ground, 58-Story, 157-Unit Tribeca Skyscraper

    Earlier this month, Fisher Brothers, Witkoff and New Valley secured financing for their 58-story, 157-unit condominium project at 111 Murray Street, in southern Tribeca, and now the team has broken ground on the building. The Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed tower is already over 40% sold, with interiors designed by MR Architecture + Décor. Completion is expected in early 2018.


    TWA Flight Center

    JFK Airport’s TWA Flight Center To Be Converted Into 505-Key Hotel

    Advanced talks were underway earlier this spring to convert JFK Airport’s vacant TWA Flight Center into a hotel, and now the project appears to be happening, according to Curbed. A 505-key hotel is expected, which will be accompanied by 40,000 square feet of meeting space, six to eight dining options, an observation deck, and a museum.
