The Sisters of Mercy sold the development in December of 2017 for an undisclosed sum of money, Brownstoner reports. Brooklyn-based Basic Groups Corp. is listed as responsible for the design.

The development, positioned in a heavily residential neighborhood, will better suit the existing PS 127 for a rising student population. The building is sixteen blocks away from the Fort Hamilton subway station, serviced by N, Q, and W trains. The NYC School Construction Authority is responsible for the applications.
