Excavation work is ongoing at 500 West 30th, which will be the neighborhood’s newest residential tower. The tower is important for the success of Hudson Yards as supertall buildings alone are unable to make an area desirable, and 24 (or at the very least 18) hour vibrancy is important. The project is immediately adjacent to the Coach Tower, where preliminary work is also underway. Compared to a photo taken a month ago, the progress has been somewhat slow, however activity is definitely ongoing.
