152 Elizabeth Street [Bowery Boogie]: Developer Sumaida + Khurana has begun converting the existing four-story structure into the Tadao Ando-designed seven-story, eight-unit condo building of 32,000 square feet at 152 Elizabeth Street, in Little Italy. Completion “remains pegged at sometime in 2016.”

35 Richmond Terrace [Commercial Observer]: BFC Partners has begun construction on their planned 1.1 million square-foot mixed-use commercial hub, dubbed Empire Outlets, and located at 35 Richmond Terrace, in St. George. The development will include a 350,000 square-foot, 100-store retail portion, and a 140,000 square-foot, 190-key hotel building. The shopping center is expected to open by Fall 2016.

190 Bowery [Bowery Boogie]: RFR Realty has assigned Massey Knakal to market the six-story, 35,617 square-foot vacant building — at 190 Bowery, in NoLita — for an undisclosed price, “but the estimated value is well north of $50 million.” The building is likely to be converted into condos, but the structure can be converted into a wide range of other uses.

41 West 23rd Street [Curbed]: Anbau Enterprises’ COOKFOX-designed 22-story, 38-unit residential building — to rise at the vacant lot spanning 39-41 West 23rd Street, in the Flatiron District — gained the approval of LPC in October, and now recently the Land Use, Housing, and Zoning Committee, signaling construction can soon proceed.

47-28 11th Avenue [The Court Square Blog]: Construction is up to the second floor at 47-28 11th Street, in Long Island City, where a seven-story, 21-unit residential building of nearly 18,800 square feet is being developed by Kora Developers. Completion is anticipated for Fall 2015.

135-14 Roosevelt Avenue [Crain’s New York]: Onex Real Estate Partners has acquired the development rights for the second phase of Sky View Parc, to be built atop the previously completed retail podium at 135-14 Roosevelt Avenue, in Flushing. A trio of residential towers will eventually add 650,000 square feet to the entire development.
