Brooklyn-based David Ogorek has filed applications for a six-story, 10-unit mixed-use building at 2213 65th Street, in Mapleton, located a block from the Bay Parkway stop on the N train. The project will encompass 16,033 square feet and will include 2,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor for retail and offices. Residential units will begin on the second floor and should average a relatively spacious 1,000 square feet apiece. Manuel Pereiras’ Union City, New Jersey-based Pereiras Architects Ubiquitous is the architect of record. The 40-foot-wide site is currently home to a single-story restaurant.

Brooklyn-based Shaye Brauner has filed applications for a three-story, two-unit building at 2040 57th Street, and a three-story, single-family residence at 2044 57th Street, in Mapleton. The two-family building will measure 5,033 square feet, with one unit across the first floor and the second unit spanning the second and third floors. The adjacent single-family home will measure 5,002 square feet. Salvatore Vincenti’s Cornerstone Designs is responsible for both buildings. The site’s old single-family home was demolished late last year.

Bronx-based SNL Construction, associated with SNL Storage, has filed applications for a four-story, 37,720 square-foot storage building at 1182-1200 McDonald Avenue, in Mapleton, directly below the F train’s stop at Avenue I. The building’s entire floor area will total 68,607 square feet, and it will replace an old single-story warehouse structure and adjacent small retail building. Demolition permits were filed in August. Long Island-based Frank Relf is the architect of record.
