The South Bronx neighborhood of Morrisania is finally experiencing some new economic development, propped up on the foundations of small market-rate projects and larger affordable developments like this one, a 120-unit complex planned on vacant land next to Thessalonia Baptist Church.
New York Times reports New York City F.C. is exploring the potential to build a new mixed-sport stadium at the site of Columbia University’s existing 17,000-seat stadium at 5101 Broadway, in Inwood. The soccer club has been searching for a location for their new stadium, and the Inwood possibility could be as large as 25,000 seats costing $400 million. Plans are only in the exploratory stage.
Per The Real Deal, RFR Realty, partnered with Hines, has received $360 million in financing from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China for the 65-story, 91-unit condominium building at 100 East 53rd Street, in Midtown East. Per Kensington BK, the renovation of Dome Park is underway, located at 384 Dahill Road, on the border of Kensington and Borough Park. The multi-million dollar transformation will be completed by Fall 2017, and will better utilize the space of the former park playground.
