107 Norman Avenue [Brownstoner]: Brooklyn Public Library’s Greenpoint branch — located at 107 Norman Avenue — “has received a $5 [million] grant” to expand the existing single-story, 6,500 square-foot structure by two floors. Beatty Harvey Coco Architects is designing, and “the project is expected to wrap in 2018.”

43-25 Hunter Street

43-25 Hunter Street [The Court Square Blog]: Foundation work has commenced at Rockrose’s 50-story, 970,000 square-foot residential project at 43-25 Hunter Street, in Long Island City. “18,800 square feet of retail space” is to be included, and completion is set for Summer 2017.

2050 Grand Concourse [DNAinfo New York]: Houlihan-Parnes Realtors is marketing the vacant lot at 2050 Grand Concourse, in Mount Hope. Affordable housing developers have shown “interest in the site,” which could accommodate “a seven- or eight-story affordable housing project.”

139 Ludlow Street

139 Ludlow Street [Bowery Boogie]: Developers have pinned drawings on-site for the fourth-floor expansion of the existing three-story building located at 139 Ludlow Street, on the Lower East Side. Once built out, the structure will total 16,500 square feet of commercial space, and Lee Levine is designing; completion is for Spring 2015.

176 Bedford Avenue [Commercial Observer]: Salvation Army “is near a deal to sell” the development site spanning 176-180 Bedford Avenue, in Williamsburg. Plans for a two-story, 7,200 square-foot commercial building are already approved, and the site’s former three-story building was demolished in 2013.

27 Dodworth Street

27 Dodworth Street [Brownstoner]: Construction is up to the first floor at the site of a planned four-story, six-unit residential building of nearly 4,900 square feet, located at 27 Dodworth Street, in Bushwick. InFocus is designing, and completion is expected in Summer 2015.
