153 Sherman Avenue: TEP Charter School has filed applications for a six-story, 65,777 square-foot community education building spanning the lots of 153-157 Sherman Avenue, in Inwood. Evans Heingtes Architects is designing, and the site’s single-story predecessor was demolished in 2011.

40 Pinehurst Avenue: Orient Development has filed applications for an eight-story, 24-unit mixed-use residential and community building of 22,605 square feet spanning the lots of 40-42 Pinehurst Avenue, in Hudson Heights. Nickolas Kazalas is designing, and an existing two-story structure must first be demolished.

BRONX:

231 West 252nd Street: Riverdale Country School has filed applications for a two-story, nearly 13,100 square-foot natatorium building at 231 West 252nd Street, in Fieldston. PBDW Architects is designing, and the former two-story structure was demolished in 2012.

386 East 195th Street: JRM Real Estate has filed applications for a four-story, 10-unit market-rate residential development of nearly 9,400 square feet at the vacant lot of 389 East 195th Street, in Fordham Manor; Fred Geremia is designing.

335 East 188th Street: Medikids Pediatric Medicine has filed applications for a four-story, 7,705 square-foot “medical office” building at the vacant lot of 335 East 188th Street, in Fordham Heights; Fred Geremia is designing.

1048 East 226th Street: Plaza Homes has for applications for a three-story, two-unit residential building of 2,326 square feet at 1048 East 226th Street, in Wakefield. An existing single-story structure must first be demolished.

BROOKLYN:

33 Remson Avenue: An LLC has filed applications for a six-story, 60,514 square-foot commercial building to span 31-47 Remson Avenue, in far-northern East Flatbush. Butz-Wilbern is designing, and a row of existing single-story structures must first be demolished.

699 Eastern Parkway: Applications have been filed for an eight-story, 60-unit building (likely a dormitory) of 41,660 square feet at 699 Eastern Parkway, in central Crown Heights. Simon Fouladian is the architect of record, and a two-story structure must first be demolished.

26 Avenue P: An LLC has filed new applications for a seven-story, 23-unit residential building of 19,326 square feet at 26 Avenue P, in far-northern Gravesend. AJR Architecture is designing, and demolition began on the existing two-story structure earlier this month.

163 Columbia Street: An LLC has filed applications for a four-story, four-unit residential building of 5,600 square feet at the vacant lot of 163 Columbia Street, in the Columbia Street Waterfront District; Bricolage is designing.

1737 55th Street: Applications have been filed for a three-story, three-unit residential building of 5,179 square feet at 1737 55th Street, in southern Borough Park. Grigori Zinkevitch is designing, and an existing single-story structure must first be demolished.

404 Grand Street: An LLC has filed applications for a six-story, five-unit residential building of 5,129 square feet at 404 Grand Street, in Williamsburg. Anthony Cucich is designing, and an existing two-story building must first be demolished.

128 Huron Street: A corporation has filed applications for a four-story, seven-unit residential building of 5,000 square feet at 128 Huron Street, in Greenpoint. Wieslawa Jasiulewicz Majran is the architect of record, and demolition begun on the existing three-story townhouse in November.

25 Fayette Street: An LLC has filed applications for two four-story, four-unit residential buildings — each of 4,043 square feet — spanning the vacant lots of 23-25 Fayette Street, in northern Bushwick; Gerald Caliendo is designing.

2786 Brown Street: Applications have been filed for a two-story, single-family abode of 900 square feet at 2786 Brown Street, in southern Sheepshead Bay. The existing single-story structure passed pre-demo inspection in September.

QUEENS:

138-12 Northern Boulevard: Global City Development has filed applications for a seven-story, 34-unit mixed-use building measuring 36,331 square feet to span 138-10 – 138-16 Northern Boulevard, in Flushing. Chang Hwa Tan is designing, and a slew of single-story structure must first be demolished.

25-88 49th Street: Applications have been filed for a four-story, six-unit residential building of 5,041 square feet at 25-88 49th Street, in far-eastern Astoria. Carusone & Cherres Architects is designing, and an existing single-story structure must first be demolished.

116 Beach 217th Street: Breezy Point Cooperative has filed applications for a two-story, single-family home of 3,172 square feet at 116 Beach 217th Street, in Breezy Point. An old single-story structure was demolished in 2013.

151-68 135th Avenue: Applications have been filed for a two-story, two-unit residential building of 2,650 square feet at the vacant lot of 151-68 135th Avenue, in Rochdale.

598 Beach 43rd Street: Applications have been filed for a two-story, single-family home of 2,369 square feet at 598 Beach 43rd Street, in Edgemere. The existing structure was removed in June.

2 Gotham Walk: Breezy Point Cooperative has filed applications to rebuild a two-story, single-family home of 2,080 square feet at 2 Gotham Walk, in Breezy Point.

144 Oceanside Avenue: Breezy Point Cooperative has filed applications for a modular two-story, single-family abode of 1,933 square feet at 144 Oceanside Avenue, in Breezy Point.

31 Jamaica Walk: Breezy Point Cooperative has filed applications for a two-story, single-family home of 1,600 square feet at 31 Jamaica Walk, in Breezy Point.

STATEN ISLAND:

264 Brighton Street: Applications have been filed for a three-story, single-family mansion of nearly 4,800 square feet spanning the lots of 260-266 Brighton Street, in Tottenville. Calvanico Associate Architects is designing, and the site’s single-story predecessor was demolished in October.

131 McBaine Avenue: Oakdale Holdings Corp. has filed applications for two three-story, two-unit residential buildings — each of nearly 3,000 square feet — spanning 131-135 McBaine Avenue, in Rossville. An existing two-story home was demolished in October.

53 Prospect Place: The LLC that filed for two two-story, single-family buildings spanning 53-57 Prospect Place — in New Dorp — has filed for a third home of the same scope at the vacant lot of 49 Prospect.
