YIMBY has word that Tishman Speyer has finalized lease agreements for all 1.2 million square feet of its recently completed office development known as “The JACX,” in Long Island City. While the property has not officially debuted, the building’s list of tenants includes Macy’s, Inc., New York-Presbyterian, Bloomingdale’s, WeWork, and a primary care practice operated by Weill Cornell Medicine.

“Tishman Speyer made its first commitment to Long Island City back in 2003 because we recognized it as an authentic urban environment that possessed all of the ingredients for long-term success,” said Tishman Speyer President and CEO Rob Speyer.  “Our ability to pre-lease most of The JACX prior to construction and all of the space prior to completion firmly demonstrates Long Island City’s viability as an office hub and a magnet for today’s creative workforce.

Located at 28-07 Jackson Avenue, in Queens, the 26-story, dual-tower building is designed by MdeAS Architects and will contain modern office space with sweeping floor spans and oversized windows. Future occupants will also enjoy an acre-wide green space on the 5th floor, a private café, and communal lounge areas. The podium and ground levels include 50,000 square feet of retail space, dining options, and a new fitness center. Parking will also be available for 550 cars and 175 bicycles.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: Finding colorful that they did amazing things and play my eyes to pain. So I like it set up in any case. (Thank you)

  2. What does the above comment mean?

  3. Nice – we need more high quality office development in the rising neighborhoods across the East River.
