Permits have been filed for a three-story residential building at 581 Belmont Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Located on the corner of Belmont Avenue and Schenck Avenue, the lot is two bocks from the Van Siclen Avenue subway station, serviced by the C train. The city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 30-foot-tall development will yield 13,513 square feet, with 12,323 square feet designated for residential space. The steel-based building will have 16 residences, with an average unit scope of 770 square feet.
