Affordable Rental Building Launches Leasing at 336-338 East 28th Street in Flatbush, Brooklyn

Move-ins will soon commence at 336-338 East 28th Street, a new four-story residential property in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The building has taken shape on an interior lot about 1.5 miles southeast of Prospect Park.

The project is designed by S. Wieder Architect, who outfitted the structure in a black and white cementitious façade. Two pairs of stacked balconies flank the outermost boundaries of the building where the most premium units f the building will most likely be positioned.

Joel Rubin, the owner of JR Property Holdings, is the primary developer of the new apartment building.

Five of the six units are income-restricted at 130 percent of the area median income or $1,850 for a single-bedroom apartment. Pricing for the sixth unit was not immediately available.

    Well, $1,850 for a one-bedroom may be “affordable” for a couple, but it’s nice to see these kinds of projects can be built. We need tens of thousands more built instead of empty skypricks for the chronically corrupt.

  2. This is not for low income people i work in the nursing home and cant afford thisits almost my monthly salary its ashame

  5. Have a heart, this is too much, very few can afford this amount per month, every new project here in Brooklyn is geared for 70,000+ income…

    There needs to be an independent study to dtermine the real median income of the people living ther b4 gentrification.

It is true rent in Brooklyn has risen mainly for people of a high income not very high like the lady said 70,000 most men don’t make that amount .I retired so I’m not in the working feel any more I was averaging around 64,000 but working Saturday nights which was double time which increased my salary a great deal.That was mainly for night crew members only and mainly the good worker’s picked to stay
