Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 2189 Arthur Avenue in Belmont, The Bronx. Located at the intersection of Arthur Avenue and East 182nd Street, the corner lot is nearest to the 182nd – 183rd Streets subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Skyward Developers under the 590 East 182nd LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 23,703 square feet, with 17,050 square feet designated for residential space and 3,616 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 25 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 682 square feet.
Shawn Stiles of S&S Architectural Design is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

At the development with its project, the center of details there were performing on the plan: Hello New York YIMBY.
This was a nice corner lot for many years. Well maintained and a nice fence in the front. I’m sure the owner of the house next door maintained the lot and planted the bushes. Kept the grass cut. Now this residential building goes there. Thank you for maintaining the lot for all these years. I also maintained a lot in my backyard until a shelter was built there.
