Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 710 Driggs Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Grand Street and South 1st Street, the lot is near the Metropolitan Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Huntington & Hinks LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 50-foot-tall development will yield 24,618 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 11 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 2,238 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and penthouse.
Studio Gallos is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

It’s hard to believe big, empty lots like this still exist so it’s great they are finally being utilized. Directly across the street is a corner surface lot needing to be developed next. There needs to be an empty lot or surface parking lot property tax that gets bigger for each year they don’t get developed.
So you want to tax people for owning private property and doing what they want with it??
Sounds like a really good idea….
Seconded David, I can hardly believe this lot is in New York City! It looks like somewhere in Pittsburgh.
The closest subway station to this lot is definitely not “Metropolitan Avenue”. It’s Bedford Avenue. How hard is it to read a map? Sheesh!
