Atlantic Yards Redevelopment [New York Times]: Developer Forest City Ratner is accelerating construction of their 15-building redevelopment at Atlantic Yards, which will yield 2,250 affordable apartments by 2025. Two buildings are set to begin this December: Building 11, at 814 Pacific, and Building 14, at 543 Carlton. Building 12 should begin in July of 2015 at 645 Dean, as well as Building 3 at 475 Dean.

151 Mercer Street [Curbed]: Tory Burch’s new SoHo flagship store has been approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission, and it will stand four stories and 65 feet tall. The existing two-story structure, at 151 Mercer Street, will be demolished to make way for the attractive walk-up, which will blend into its historic surrounds.

2183 3rd Avenue [Commercial Observer]: Developer Sharon Cohen has plans to construct an “eight-story, 50,102 square-foot [mixed-used] building” at the northeast corner of 3rd Avenue and East 119th Street, at 2183-2189 3rd Avenue in East Harlem. The building will have 41 apartments, and “20,144 square-feet allotted for commercial” usage. Approved applications are slightly larger, and indicate the structure will rise 12 stories and house 58 units.

470 4th Avenue [Brownstoner]: Three commercial and six residential low-rises at the northwest corner of 4th Avenue and 11th Street — or 470-474 4th Avenue and 233-243 11th Street in Gowanus — have been completely demolished. Developer Adam America has filed for a 12-story, 105-unit residential building for the street corner, and a rendering reveals a glass and brick structure.

620 Grand Avenue [Brownstoner]: A four-story structure is being constructed at 620-622 Grand Avenue in Crown Heights, and steel framing as risen to the fourth floor. The Sterling Group is developing the 10-unit, long-stalled building; the façade has yet to be revealed.

554 West 22nd Street [The Real Deal]: Property Markets Group, partnered with developer Harch Group, has purchased a four-story low-rise at 548-554 West 22nd Street in Chelsea. The new owner “has no plans for the building at this time,” but “a 75,000 square-foot building could be constructed” if additional air-rights are acquired.

Farley Post Office Air Rights [Crain’s New York]: Empire State Development has chosen Massey Knakal Realty Services to market 1.5 million square-feet of air-rights over Moynihan Station, which should “yield well over $100 million dollars.” The proceeds will be put towards the construction of Moynihan Station.

215 Chrystie Street [Bowery Boogie]: Construction has begun at 215 Chrystie Street in the Bowery, where Ian Schrager and The Witkoff Group are developing a 28-story mixed-used hotel and residential building.
