An anonymous Bronx-based LLC has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 529 East 187th Street, located on the corner of Bathgate Avenue in the Bronx’s Belmont neighborhood. The new building will measure 6,875 square feet and its residential units should average 688 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Giuliano Penna’s Bronx-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 25-foot-wide, 2,500-square-foot property is currently vacant. Metro-North Railroad’s Fordham station and Fordham University are three blocks away.

Morning..YIMBY..new decision to four-story with rental apartments, building taking on the ground as residential.
So many of these are filling empty lots. So many of these are replacing one and two family homes. Are they market rate rent? Is the city renting these for the homeless?
Most of the new developments in Belmont are aimed at Fordham Univ. students.
