Permits have been filed for an eight-story apartment building at 583 Emerald Street in Lindenwood, Brooklyn. Located between Linden Boulevard and Loring Avenue, the corner lot is about eight city blocks south of the Grant Avenue subway station, serviced by the A train. Daniel Rad of Radson Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 95-foot tall development will yield 144,858 square feet, with 110,716 square feet designated for residential space. It will have 154 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 718 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 24 enclosed parking spaces.

Magnus Magnusson of Magnusson Architecture and Planning is responsible for the design.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Unusual area for an apartment building. More evidence that there are fewer places left to build in NYC.

  2. Lindenwood is located in Queens by a long shot. East New York is the correct neighbor hood. That is just one of the reasons why native NYers dislike developers they like to sell a lot of false advertisement just to make it appealing to buyers.
