Permits have been filed for a 15-story residential building at 130 East 177th Street in Mt. Hope, The Bronx. Located between Morris Avenue and Grand Concourse, the interior lot is two blocks from the Tremont Avenue subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Jacob Barak of Postgraduate Center for Mental Health is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 148-foot tall development will yield 67,342 square feet, with 55,579 square feet designated for residential space and 1,021 square feet of community facilities. It will have 90 residences, with an average unit scope of 617 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and 46-foot long rear yard.

Anthony Shitemi of Urban Architectural Initiatives is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Will this be a low income building? If so,how can I get an application?

  2. It looks like it could be affordable or supportive housing, part of the permit application states “”BUILDING AS NON-PROFIT INSTITUTION WITH SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS” “

  3. They say say affordable housing but when you apply later you find out you dont qualify or you have to go through a lottery

  4. They say low income but when you apply you later you find out you don’t qualify because everything is through a lottery and that’s not fair
