This winter, Convene will open a new 40,000-square-foot meeting and events space at 1221 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown, Manhattan. Located on the building’s second floor, the space will debut as Quorum by Convene and feature a capacity of 630 guests.
Convene currently has a network of 23 flexible spaces for meetings and events across the United States and the United Kingdom. Quorum by Convene will be the 13th Convene-operated location in New York and is on schedule to debut this December.
Quorum by Convene will comprise six rooms that can be configured to accommodate all types of corporate gatherings and events. Its centerpiece room, the Grand Hall Forum, features a 270-degree digital screen and can accommodate up to 360 people.
Each space at Quorum will feature built-in video cameras for townhall-style broadcasts and remote presentations, built-in video screens, and speakers. As a destination for events, the space will also feature Italian terrazzo floors, Calacatta Tucci Stone, and architectural bronze accents throughout.
“In an effort to attract employees back for in-person meetings and events, there has been a flight to quality, with companies willing to spend more for an elevated and thoughtful experience,” said Convene president and chief operating officer Amy Pooser. “Quorum by Convene boasts a grand and luxurious design while still providing all the things companies have come to love about Convene: inclusive full service, attention to detail, and next-level hospitality.”

I work near this building and you can see that ceiling from the street. They actually took out the third floor in the area for a taller ceiling. The money they spent on this space must be astronomical.
And it accomplishes…what? Togetherness? Unity? Ok.
This is the future! Bravo!
