Benny Imani, operating under an LLC, has filed applications for a four-story, 20,000 square-foot warehouse building at 63 Alabama Avenue, three blocks east from Broadway Junction in East New York. According to Schedule A, the building will be used for storage, and Gerald Caliendo is designing. The plot of land is currently vacant.
Hotel developers are piling into manufacturing zones from the South Bronx to Bushwick, but the de Blasio administration is considering a ban on hotel development in these areas, particularly in protected industrial business zones (IBZs).
SO Development Enterprises has filed applications for a three-story, 53-foot-tall manufacturing warehouse at the vacant parcel 2702 West 15th Street, on Coney Island near the Coney Island Creek. The building will measure 23,810 square feet, and Walter Marin of Marin Architects PC is designing. Filings were also submitted in January, but the latest plans have increased the scope of the project by 4,700 square feet.
Oak Point Property LLC has filed applications for a single-story, 60-foot-tall cement distribution facility at 50 Oak Point Avenue, in Port Morris. The Bronx facility will measure nearly 75,600 square feet, and EDG Consulting Engineers is the architect of record. The property is currently vacant and is adjacent to the East River and the railroad tracks.
BNF Realty has filed applications for a six-story, 37,620 square-foot automobile manufacturing facility spanning 607-611 West 47th Street, on the Far West Side, past Eleventh Avenue. Bohler Engineering NY is the architect of record, and an existing two-story auto-repair shop must first be demolished.
