Meshberg Group has designed several factory-style apartment buildings in Williamsburg, but the firm does plenty of historic townhouse renovation and restoration projects. Today we have renderings for a brownstone at 203 Bergen Street in Boerum Hill, which will be completely gut renovated.

YIMBY has noticed a handful of new rental projects there in the last year, and now we can add another one to the list.
Two days ago, YIMBY reported on filings for seven townhouses at 90-96 Amity Street, in Brooklyn’s Cobble Hill neighborhood, and now it appears that number will increase by one. Yesterday, additional applications were filed for a home at 88 Amity Street, which will match its neighbors in terms of scope, measuring about 4,000 square feet. Romines Architecture is the architect of record, while Fortis Property Group is the developer. A closed hospital building must first be demolished before work can begin.
The development saga at 5 Franklin Place is finally reaching its conclusion, and since YIMBY’s last update on the project from September of 2014, progress has been significant. The latest photos from Tectonic show that cladding and window installation are both complete, although interior work appears to be ongoing. The site had several conceptual designs before it was acquired by El Ad Group after the recession, and ODA designed the final product, which stands 20 stories tall and has 53 condominiums.
Meringoff Properties and the Riese Organization are placing the low-rise commercial properties spanning 677-685 Lexington Avenue on the market, according to The Wall Street Journal. The assemblage, in Midtown East at East 56th Street, boasts roughly 115,000 square feet, and is primed for a residential or hotel development. Eastern Consolidated is marketing the properties, which include a two-story corner building and five-story commercial structure, whose leases expire shortly.
