Photos Revealed for $59 Million Penthouse at 100 Barclay Street, Tribeca

Images are out now for the redesigned penthouse in 100 Barclay Street, an Art Deco skyscraper adjacent to One World Trade Center on the southern edge of Tribeca. The 32-story building, originally known as the Barclay-Vesey Building, opened in 1927, designed by architect Ralph Walker. During the September 11th attack, the building suffered heavy damage on its southern and eastern facades. Tishman Realty & Construction led its repairs, with William F. Collins responsible for the restoration. The project was finished in three years at a cost of $1.4 billion, whereby all ornamental details and carving motifs were fixed. Since then, the upper floors have been converted to condominiums.

Renovation Work Underway on 125 Barclay Street in Tribeca, Manhattan

Renovation work is ramping up on 125 Barclay Street, a ten-story commercial building in Tribeca. Originally constructed in 1932 as the World Telegram Building, the 280,000-square-foot structure is undergoing an overhaul that involves the replacement of the brick envelope with a modern glass curtain wall, the full gutting of the interiors and restoration of the terracotta flooring, and the construction of an 11th story above the current parapet. Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor and Lilker Associates is the MEP and FP engineer for the property, which houses the offices for municipal employee union DC37 and is bound by Murray Street to the north, Barclay Street to the south, and West Street to the west.

Excavation Underway for The Alloy Block at 100 Flatbush Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn

At number 16 on our countdown is The Alloy Block, a multi-tower complex designed and developed by Alloy Development in Downtown Brooklyn. Located along the border with Boerum Hill, the project consists of the 840-foot-tall 80 Flatbush Avenue and the 44-story, 482-foot-tall 100 Flatbush Avenue. Hunter Roberts Construction Group is in charge of building the foundations, and Urban Atelier Group will take over the superstructure work, which will rise from the trapezoidal plot bound by Flatbush Avenue to the northeast, State Street to the southwest, and 3rd Avenue to the northwest.
