On the southern end of Williamsburg’s waterfront, a three-story commercial property at 484 Kent Avenue is about to hit the market as a development site, boasting 500,000 square feet of residential air rights. In 2011, the property was granted a zoning change to allow for three towers totaling 800 residential units, 30% of which would be affordable. Per Crain’s Business, HFZ Capital Group is interested in the property; the site is suspected to be valued north of $250 million.

Excavation is underway for Two Trees’ 16-story, 522-unit building at 317-329 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg. The building will total 382,750 square feet, and 9,370 square feet will be set aside for retail space. It’s the first phase of the Domino Redevelopment project, and completion of the first building is expected in 2017, reports Brownstoner. SHoP is designing, and 105 units will be set aside as affordable housing.

Earlier in May, Crain’s Business broke news about a planned condo conversion for 184 Kent Avenue, an eight-story, 338-unit luxury rental building in northern Williamsburg. Now Curbed has the details: dubbed Austin Nichols House, significant renovations are in the works, which include the combination of former rental units. Kushner Companies, LIVWRK, and Rockpoint Group are the developers and acquired the building for $275 million in early 2015.
