A massive residential complex in West Chelsea is set to rise soon, and it will be a much needed addition to a currently desolate area. Located just to the south of the future Hudson Yards megaproject, the project is called 298 Eleventh Avenue, and is being developed by Avalon. The building will have over 700 new units, and rise just short of 30 floors.
The timing of the project could not be better, as Related’s Hudson Yards is slated to begin construction during the next year as well. The area surrounding the Hudson Yards is certainly gaining momentum in terms of construction, and this project–hopefully breaking ground soon, although there is no activity at the lot as of late 2011–will hopefully get the inertia going even faster.
Unless you get paid cash daily as a day laborer or something similar, you will get a paycheck. The check might be an old-fashioned paper check, although these are increasingly rare. More than likely, your pay will come via direct deposit or maybe a pay/debit card. Regardless of the form of payment, you will probably also get a paystub. (Believe it or not, some states- Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, South Dakota, and Tennessee- do not require check stubs. There is also no federal requirement for them.)
Here’s an article from The Real Deal referencing a start date of 2010, so the project has definitely been anticipated to begin for quite some time now.
