242 West 53rd StreetDevelopers have filed permits in “support of excavation” for a 62-story and 426-unit skyscraper at 242 West 53rd Street, in the Theater District; activity is likely imminent.

Brooklyn:

162 Monroe StreetRamgold LLC has filed applications to construct a four-story and four-unit residential building of 6,824 square feet at 162 Monroe Street, in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Demolition of an existing garage has been approved; Arnold Montag is designing.

1475 Nostrand AvenueNostrand Church Avenue LLC has filed applications to construct twin low-rise residential buildings — standing four stories and housing eight units — at 1471-1475 Nostrand Avenue, in East Flatbush. Bricolage is designing both 5,632 square-foot buildings; the lots are currently vacant.

519 East 5th StreetJ. Siegel has filed applications to construct a new three-story and two-unit residential building of 4,144 square feet at 519 East 5th Street, in Kensington. An existing two-and-a-half-story structure appears to have fallen into disrepair; demolition permits have yet to be filed.

Queens:

2 Hudson Walk: Breezy Point Cooperative has filed to construct a one-story abode of 1,066 square feet at 2 Hudson Walk, in Breezy Point; the “original structure [had been] destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.”

Staten Island:

Burgundy Loop DevelopmentBaiano Development has filed for eight more townhouses spanning the newly paved Chianti Court — from lots 15-31 — in Clinton. Previously reported on YIMBY last week, the total scope of the development will span 135,398 square feet; today’s applications are for single family-abodes.

65 Marine WayHett Ave. Development has filed to construct four residential buildings — three housing one family and spanning 1,338 square feet each, and one housing two units and spanning nearly 2,000 square feet — at 59-65 Marine Way, in New Dorp Beach. A one-story abode at 95 Hett Avenue would first need to be demolished.

451 Vernon AvenueChris Granata has filed applications to construct a two-story and two-unit residential building of 4,863 square feet at 451 Vernon Avenue, in Prince’s Bay. Demolition of an existing one-story home was approved in June.

580 Woodrow RoadPassarelli Construction has filed applications to construct a three-story and two-unit residential building of nearly 3,000 square feet at 580 Woodrow Road, in Woodrow. Demolition of a one-story house and detached garage was completed in June.
