520 East 117th Street [DNAinfo NY]: Blumenfeld Development Group has announced plans for a residential tower of 1,000 units to be built atop East River Plaza Mall, located at 520 East 117th Street, in East Harlem. The developer states “a final decision on size or heights has yet to be determined,” and additional bulk could be awarded if affordable housing becomes a focus.

75 Ralph Avenue [DNAinfo NY]: The one-story strip-mall at 75 Ralph Avenue — in Bedford-Stuyvesant — has sold for $4.3 million; applications were submitted in April for a “six-story, 57-unit apartment building” that will replace the underutilized site. The lot has 39,000 square feet of potential.

324 East 4th Street [EV Grieve]: The four-story tenement building at 324 East 4th Street, in the East Village, has been partially demolished and completely gutted. Applications call for a vertical extension to seven stories,  housing 11 units; The Redd Group is behind the development.

1133 Manhattan Avenue [Brownstoner]: Bricks have gone up at the seven-story and 210-unit 1133 Manhattan Avenue, in Greenpoint; the building encompasses half of its block. Domain Companies is the developer, and Perkins Eastman is the architect; the project’s teaser site projects a fall opening.

4250 Broadway [The Real Deal]: Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation is looking to close on a “40,000 square-foot commercial building” this September for $40 million; the two-story low-rise is located at 4250-4256 Broadway in Washington Heights. Officials state they “could go in a couple different directions with [the] undervalued corner.”

43 Claver Place [Brownstoner]: A three-story walk-up at 43 Claver Place — in Bedford Stuyvesant — has been demolished “under emergency conditions,” allowing plans for a new building to proceed. In 2012, applications were approved for an eight-story and seven-unit mixed-use structure of 9,063 square-feet, though the property has since changed hands.
