Hunters Point Library [LIC Post]: Now that city funds are lined up, construction is set to begin “as early as this spring” on Hunters Point Library at 4-09 47th Road, in Long Island City. The multi-level, “21,500 square-foot facility will be largely a glass and cement structure.”
10 Times Square [Real Estate Weekly]: Winick Realty Group and L.H. Charney Associates are leading the renovation of the 38-story, 550,000 square-foot commercial building at 1441 Broadway, dubbed 10 Times Square. Plans include “56,000 square feet of retail space,” three stories of glass façade, and 12,000 square feet of LED advertising.
945 Bergen Street [Brownstoner]: Crow Hill Development has plans to revitalize and convert the three-story, 50,000 square-foot warehouse — located at 945 Bergen Street, in northwestern Crown Heights — into a mixed-use residential and retail building. Formactiv is designing.
30 Park Place [Curbed]: Silverstein Properties’ 67-story, 157-condo-unit and 185-hotel-room mixed-use tower — located at 30 Park Place, in southern Tribeca — has topped out ceremonially, but has yet to reach a pinnacle of 937 feet. Pre-cast concrete and limestone panels are making progress mid-way up the tower, and completion is expected in mid-2016.
55 Hudson Yards [Real Estate Weekly]: Related Companies, Oxford Properties Group, and Mitsui Fudosan America have officially broken ground on 55 Hudson Yards, a 51-story, 1.3-million square-foot office building set to rise on the Far West Side. Construction is expected to last through 2017, “and tenant move-in should begin early 2018.”
363-365 Bond Street [Pardon Me For Asking]: Lightstone Group’s two-phased 12-story, 700-unit development — spanning 363-365 Bond Street, in Gowanus — is making progress, with 363 Bond now reaching its sixth floor. Site remediation is still underway at 365 Bond, and the development is expected to be delivered by Spring 2016.
