212 Rome Street [NJ Advanced Media]: The RBH Group, and other partners, are planning to convert the 69,000 square-foot former factory — located at 212 Rome Street, in North Ironbound — into “the largest indoor vertical farm in the world.” AeroFarms will run the facility, and completion is expected “by the end of 2015.”
93 Dupont Street [Brownstoner]: Experta Group has disclosed more details on their redevelopment project at 93 Dupont Street, in Greenpoint, where the existing three-story industrial building will be converted into a mixed-use, multiple-tower development. Roughly 400 units are in the works, and commercial space will span the first two floors.
The Hills [Curbed]: Three of four man-made hills are currently being molded into the landscape on Governors Island. Dubbed The Hills, West 8 is designing the $250 million park, and completion is expected “by the end of 2015.”
216 Freeman Street [Brooklyn Daily Eagle]: Three vacant lots — 216-218 Freeman Street, and 215 Green Street, in Greenpoint — have been placed on the market “at an asking price of $7.25 million.” The development assemblage boasts 23,250 square feet of building potential.
178 Court Street [Cobble Hill Blog]: Last proposed to the Landmarks Preservation Commission in February, the LPC approved plans this week for a two-story retail building at the vacant lot 178 Court Street, in Cobble Hill. PKSB Architects is designing.
23-03 45th Road [The Court Square Blog]: Scaffolding is being erected around the four-story building at 23-03 45th Road, in Long Island City, to make-way for the structure’s demolition. The “building was approved for demolition in January,” and plans for new construction have not been revealed.
