The Real Deal reports that law firm Skadden has signed a 20-year lease for 550,000 square feet at Brookfield Property Partners’ 1 Manhattan West, located at 401 9th Avenue, on the West Side. Construction will begin immediately on the 69-story, 2.1-million square-foot office tower — as construction loans have been secured — and opening is scheduled for 2019. YIMBY first broke the news that Skadden had signed a letter of intent for 1 Manhattan West last October.
