Permits Filed For 840 Morris Park Avenue, Morris Park, The Bronx

Permits have been filed for a three-story residential building at 840 Morris Park Avenue, in the East Bronx. The lot sits adjacent to the Matthews Muliner Playground, and is eight blocks east and two blocks south of the Bronx Park East subway station, where service is offered on the 2 and 5 trains.

The structure will rise to a height of 30 feet and offer 8,340 square feet of space, which is slated to be split up between 11 units. Each will average 760 square feet, indicative of rental apartments.

Franciosa Complex will be responsible for development of the site. No demolition permits been filed for the site yet.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: Move my eyes to your report on details of a three-story, residential building. (Hello YIMBY)

  2. This is Morris Park, not Riverdale.

  3. 840 Morris Park Ave considered Riverdale section of the Bronx. I had to google earth to make sure Morris Park Ave did not move.

  4. This address is nowhere near the Riverdale section of the Bronx, which is in the extreme northwest section. It is actually in the Morris Park or Van Nest section of the Bronx, which is in the East Side of the Bronx.

  5. Morris Park Avenue is nowhere near the neighborhood of Riverdale. Come on, YIMBY.

  6. Come on, 11 rental units? This area is extremely congested as it is and now we need another housing unit? This is disgusting. THERE IS NO ROOM FOR MORE! Where will they park? You cannot park on that strip at all, businesses will be leaving that area because there is absolutely no parking.. This is the downfall of Morris Park Avenue.. VERY SAD and makes me sick that NONE of the residents voices are heard.

Your wrong about the parking on Morris Park avenue.
The area that this building is being built has plenty of street parking plus in a desperate need for revitalization. The buildings on the block are poorly maintained and abandoned.
New construction only increases value, momentum and beauty to an area.
