Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 872 Home Street in Foxhurst, The Bronx. The site is six blocks away from the Freeman Subway Station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains, and ten blocks away from the Whitlock Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the 6 trains. Global Management NY will be responsible for the development.
The 46-foot tall structure will yield 9,060 square feet, with 7,340 square feet dedicated to residential use. Ten apartments will be created, averaging 734 square feet apiece, indicating rentals.
Tenants will have access to onsite recreational space and storage area. A duplex will occupy a portion of the fourth floor, extending into the roof space, likely providing space for a private terrace.
Badaly Architects will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits for the existing structure have not been filed. Completion can be expected by mid to late 2020.

That block can use an improvement for sure.
If we could just get Badaly to stop using jumbo bricks and incorporate an ounce of the avant garde it wouldn’t be that bad.
So much new apartment construction in the Bronx, which is good for the borough. But what’s with the bars on the house in the photo? Must be a serious crime problem in the area for the property owner to have done that.
Yes all the homeowners have bars on windows on basement and first floor units. It was a bad area Fort Apache the Bronx.
Both houses next door has since caught on fire.
