Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 526 Union Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The site is four blocks away from the Metropolitan Avenue subway station, serviced by the G and L trains. Long-Island based Northside Capital Corporation is behind the applications.
The 70-foot tall structure will yield 40,100 square feet, with 35,900 square feet dedicated to residential use. 43 apartments will be created, averaging 835 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Residents will have access to a lobby with a package room, storage space, 42 bicycle parking spaces, and a rooftop terrace. Residents on the seventh floor will also have their own private terraces, and 23 parking spaces will also be included on site.
Kutnicki Bernstein Architects will be responsible for the design.
The lot is currently vacant, meaning construction can start as soon as permits are approved. The estimated completion date has not been announced. This is the second time permits have been filed for the lot.
