Two-Building Complex Revealed at 1050 Pacific Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Fresh renderings from local architect Eric Safyan have a revealed a new, mixed-use complex in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The illustrations are included in rezoning proposals presented to New York City’s Department of City Planning to facilitate the construction of a large, two-building development at 1050 Pacific Street.

The complete structure is comprised of two components that rise from a shared podium that is primarily comprised of commercial area. In total, the development would measure 181,197 square feet. Residential area accounts for nearly 153,000 square feet, while commercial area measures just over 28,578 square feet. The plans also reveal cellar level parking area for approximately 60 vehicles.

Defined as “Development 1,” an eight story tower will yield 114,124 gross square feet. Ground floor commercial space will account for nearly 17,000 square feet with 104 residential units on the second through eight levels. Vehicle parking and bike storage will occupy the cellar level.

“Development 2” would also arrive as an eight-story, mixed-use residential building. This portion of the plan would yield 55,408 square feet of residential area divided among 55 units. An additional 11,665 square feet of commercial area will be positioned on the ground floor, with sub-grade parking below.

Future occupants will also have access to an interior courtyard, an elevated terrace above, and a mix of outdoor and indoor amenity areas.

If approved, construction is expected to wrap-up in 24 months, with an official completion date in 2022.
