Permits have been filed for a 15-story residential building at 1579 Bedford Avenue, also known as the Bedford Union Armory, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The site is three blocks away from the Franklin Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains. Prospect Park is located just five blocks away. The development will create housing and a recreational center made affordable for community residents. Also included will be low-cost space for local non-profits, and a new medical facility for uninsured citizens of the city. The NYC Economic Development Corporation is behind the applications.

Though construction has not yet started, new renderings by ODA have revealed a daring, low-slung arched building adorned with a dark concrete façade. The hotel is located just two blocks away from the Franklin Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains. The Botanic Garden subway station is one block further, serviced by the Shuttle trains.

Foundation work has begun for the six-story mixed-use building at 805 Washington Avenue, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, as seen in the latest from Tectonic. Construction crews have cleared away much of the lot, and steel has been installed along the perimeter. The site is just a block away from the Brooklyn Museum in Prospect Park, and the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is also nearby.
