Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed use building at 4697 Third Avenue, in Belmont, The Bronx. The lot is on the corner of Third Avenue and East 188th Street. Located seven blocks to the east is the Fordham Road station, serviced by the B and D trains. The Fordham MetroNorth train station is located three blocks north of the development. The new construction is also close to main throughways Webster Avenue and East Fordham Road.
Rona Reodica is listed as the developer responsible for the filings.
The proposed structure includes a basement level with space for enclosed parking and commercial use of the cellar and first level. Topping off the remaining space will be 53 residential units, most likely rentals, averaging 738 square feet apiece.
The proposed building will be 84 feet tall with a total scope of 61,620 square feet. Mark Ginsberg of Curtis + Ginsberg Architects will be responsible for the design. Demolition permits have not yet been filed for the existing structure, nor has an estimated completion date has not been announced.

Please pardon me for using your space: Sorry to intrude your details, I would like to read and know it. (Hello YIMBY)
Should be taller for being so close to transit hub. 20 stories would be more appropriate here.
Nfa meanwhile below 59th there are tons of 1-4 story buildings that are “landmarks” preventing development. Ridiculous!
