Renderings for a new, six-story housing development at 2337 Bedford Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn, were revealed by S. Wieder Architects. The ground-up rental property will eventually comprise 29,116 square feet, but will contain only 18,380 square feet of dedicated residential area.
With only 27 units planned, each home would measure around 680 square feet.
The building’s façade is a clear reference to the neighborhood’s industrial beginnings. It features a blend of factory-style windows with red and black masonry elements. The renderings also reveal private balconies beginning at the third floor, a landscaped roof deck, and possible shared terrace levels at the second and fourth floors.
Developer Cheskel Schwimmer has not revealed an estimated date of completion for the property.
