Permits have been filed for a 12-story mixed-use building at 118 West 28th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Located between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue, the lot is steps away from the 28th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. Derrick Fox under Lee Yuen Fung Trading Co. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 124-foot-tall development will yield 19,300 square feet, with 17,830 square feet designated for residential space and 1,470 square feet for commercial use. The building will have 12 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,608 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar.
Zi Mai of 1+1 Design Studio is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

It’s really sad. The new hotels should at least let the remaining florists use part of their sidewalk space.

It’sa shame all these buildings are being built and blacks that lives in the area are force out of there area can’t afford too live in them.
