Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 1185 Washington Avenue in Morrisania, The Bronx. Located between East 167th Street and East 168th Street, the interior lot is closest to the Freeman Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Supreme Equities under the 1185 Washington Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 20,627 square feet, with 19,305 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 28 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 689 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 57-foot-long rear yard but no accessory parking.

Oleg Ruditser under the Engineering Professional SVCS is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in March of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Come to an end between you and I, as we are relations on a reporter and reader. The last contemplated must stop: Thank you.

  2. Washington Ave is a little far from the “Freeman Street station….of the 2&5 train.” Certainly not walking distance. It would be more accurate to say that this address is in a “two-fare zone,” to make the way to Southern Blvd. and then walk several blocks to Freeman Street.

There’s also a bus that makes “limited stops” along Third Ave, which could connect with other subway lines further south.

    • Could also walk about 15 minutes to the Grand Concourse and catch the subway at E 167th St. Or the Metro North at E 162nd which is a bit closer.

The term “two-fare zone” is obsolete. More like long walk or short bike/scooter/bus ride. Definitely walkable though.

  3. Hi this still available
