5-15 Queens Boulevard, aka Elm West, which now has an official website, is one of the newest mixed-use residential developments in Elmhurst, Queens. The seven-story, 230,000-square-foot edifice is located at the corner of Queens Boulevard and Broadway and stands directly across the street from its completed sibling, Elm East. Pi Capital Partners is the developer and Tan Architect is the designer.
Photographs show the finished exterior and views of Manhattan from its sister residence. The outside features a clean array of glass railings and warm-colored walls with a curved glass corner and multiple balconies that hang off the sides of the superstructure.
The ground floor is finished, and will eventually be home to either retail or office space. Occupants will have tall windows fronting onto the sidewalks. There is also a bus stop that services the Q53, Q58, Q59, and Q60 bus directly in front along Broadway.
Inside are 142 rental units spanning 126,250 square feet and averaging 607 square feet apiece. Each comes with floor-to-ceiling windows, five-inch-wide wooden floor planks, custom kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, expansive terraces and balconies for the upper floors with views of the Manhattan skyline to the west, bathrooms with granite counters and ceramic tile flooring, and a main lobby with travertine marble and emerald glass relief tiles. There will also be 30,000 square feet of community facilities and 30,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.
The property is steps from the Grand Avenue-Newton Station, servicing the M and R trains and is about 12 minutes from Midtown, Manhattan. Amenities include child care facilities and a private on-site parking garage for over 200 vehicles. The Queens Center Mall is a short walk to the east along Queens Boulevard. More of the local Asian shops, supermarkets, and eateries are found to the north on Broadway by the Elmhurst Avenue subway station.

This isn’t the building that replaced McDowells is it?
Ha. They got the Big Mac, we got the Big Mic. Yes, old EAB Bank building at NWC of Queens Blvd. & Broadway.
The view looking towards Manhattan is almost perfect in my mind.
Sure seems like a tower could be justifiable here.
Yes. It replaced the Wendys that was in “Coming to America”.
I do not see any tree pits
