Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 16 Wade Square in Belmont, The Bronx. Located at the intersection of Quarry Road and Wade Square, the lot is closest to the 182nd-183rd Streets subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Spaxel under the 16 Wade Square LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 80-foot-tall development will yield 86,316 square feet, with 50,644 square feet designated for residential space and 8,648 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 74 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 684 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 16 enclosed parking spaces.
Adam Snyder of A/R Environetics Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in July 2020 for a two-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
