The affordable housing lottery is open for 2848 West 15th Street, a five-story mixed-use development in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Designed by Bricolage Designs, the 20-unit building will yield 35,667 square feet. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $61,715 to $159,640.

Residential amenities include assigned parking spaces, bike storage, rooftop terrace, outdoor areas, gated access, on-site resident manager, recycling center, and security cameras. Units will have washers and dryers, dishwashers, energy-efficient appliances, air conditioning, hardwood floors, and patios or balconies.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there is a one-bedroom with a $1,800 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $61,715 to $133,120; a one-bedroom with a $2,000 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $68,572 to $133,120; and a one-bedroom with a $2,100 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $72,000 to $133,120.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there is a two-bedroom with a $2,100 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $72,000 to $159,640; a two-bedroom with a $2,200 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $75,429 to $159,640; and a two-bedroom with a $2,300 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $78,858 to $159,640.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than February 10, 2021.

    • Do not call this building AFFORDABLE. To be affordable income should start in the 26.0000 or so please call this affordable for median and rich people. And stop the word AFFORDABLE.

  3. Bricolage has got to be one of the most clueless incompetent architects on this continent. It’s too bad all there designs aren’t tucked away on some cul de sac in some backwater suburb instead of so highly visible. Pity.

  11. Still don’t understand why these are for 130% area income places are call “affordable housing”. So people making more than average needs help but those at or below average don’t? Not a big mystery as to who actually needs “affordable housing”?
