The affordable housing lottery has launched for 36-23 172nd Street, a three-story residential building in Flushing, Queens. The development yields 20,900 square feet and is designed by Michael Kang Architect. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $57,258 to $167,570.

Amenities include bike storage lockers, an elevator, a shared laundry room, and a garage with assigned parking spaces. Residences will have new finishes and appliances, plenty of closet space, and patios or balconies.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three one-bedrooms with a $1,670 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $57,258 to $139,620; and three two-bedrooms with a $2,201 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $75,463 to $167,570.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than June 8, 2021.
